QUETTA (Terror Monitor) — Pakistani security forces killed eight terrorists during two separate intelligence-based operations conducted in the Balochistan districts of Kharan and Mastung on June 25 and 26.
According to the military's media wing, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces launched an intelligence-based operation in Kharan on June 25 after receiving information about the presence of a group of terrorists. During the operation, three militants, identified by the military as members of the Indian-backed Fitna al-Hindustan, were killed, while several others were reportedly injured.
In a separate operation on June 26, security forces carried out an intelligence-based raid in Mastung following reports about the presence of a suspected suicide bomber.
The ISPR said security forces engaged the militants' hideout, killing five terrorists, including a suicide bomber, after an intense exchange of fire.
Weapons, ammunition, improvised explosive devices (IEDs), and motorcycles allegedly used by the militants were recovered during the operation.
The military said clearance operations remain underway to eliminate any remaining terrorist presence in the area.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the security forces for the operations, saying their timely action had foiled the terrorists' plans in Balochistan.
