BAP district president Abdul Rahman Langove was shot dead by unidentified armed men outside his home in Nushki, while six bullet-riddled bodies were recovered from two locations along the Quetta-Karachi National Highway in Mastung, Balochistan.

Pakistan’s military says security forces have killed 48 militants in operations across several districts of Balochistan over the past three days. The ISPR said 36 militants were killed in the latest intelligence-based operations in Mastung, Kalat and Sibi, while an attempted attack on the Bhagh Police Station was also foiled.
An armed group has abducted a police Station House Officer (SHO) from a mosque in Kurram district of Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, police sources said. The officer, identified as Muhammadi Khan, was reportedly taken to an undisclosed location, while police suspect possible involvement by the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), although this has not been independently confirmed.
At least 16 Pakistani soldiers have been killed, around two dozen injured and seven reported missing in an ambush on a military convoy in Balochistan’s Ziarat district, according to intelligence sources. The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility, while security forces separately reported killing 12 militants in an operation in Kalat.
Pakistan’s federal government has appointed Major General Faisal Naseer as National Coordinator of the National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) for a three-year term. Naseer, a former head of the ISI’s Internal Wing, takes charge as Pakistan faces rising militant violence, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
Five civilians were injured after armed militants attacked a police station and other government offices in Bhagh Nari, Kachhi district, Balochistan, officials said. The Balochistan government said the attack was foiled by police and counter-terrorism personnel, while a provincial official attributed the assault to the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA).
An Ahmadiyya community official, Mirza Safdar Mahmood, was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Pakistan’s Mandi Bahauddin district, allegedly in a killing motivated by religious hatred. Police have registered a murder and anti-terrorism case and launched an investigation.
Pakistan’s military says security forces killed 15 suspected TTP militants attempting to infiltrate North Waziristan from Afghanistan. The 36-hour operation followed the detection of the group near the border, with weapons and ammunition recovered from the scene.
