Pakistan’s security forces claim to have killed five militants in an intelligence-based operation in Panjgur, Balochistan. According to ISPR, the militants were affiliated with the banned Baloch Liberation Army and were referred to as Fitna al-Hindustan terrorists. Weapons, ammunition and explosives, including IEDs, were also recovered.
Pakistan’s security forces killed 15 militants in intelligence-based operations across eight districts of Balochistan, recovering a large quantity of weapons and ammunition, according to security sources.
Seven terrorists were killed in a Pakistan Army operation in Hangu, while 27-year-old Captain Hamza Akram was also killed during the clash.
Pakistan’s military says 10 militants were killed in two separate security operations in South Waziristan and Dir districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including eight militants who were killed after an attempted attack on security posts in Azam Warsak.
A policeman was killed in a shooting in Bannu district while another police officer was allegedly abducted in Tank district of Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. Police have launched investigations and search operations in both cases.
Pakistan and the United States have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening counterterrorism cooperation, with a focus on combating TTP, ISIS-K, al-Qaeda, and the BLA. During the fourth Pakistan-U.S. Counterterrorism Dialogue in Washington, both sides agreed to enhance intelligence sharing, border security, and joint efforts to counter evolving security threats and promote regional peace and stability.
Two JUI-F-affiliated leaders were killed in separate targeted attacks in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s tribal districts of Bajaur and South Waziristan. Maulana Irshad Ajiz was killed in Bajaur in an attack claimed by ISIS, while Maulana Ismail Wazir was shot dead in South Waziristan. Security forces launched investigations and search operations following both incidents.
At least 16 people, including six police officers, were killed and 30 others injured in a suicide bombing outside a police station in Pakistan's northwestern Swat district. Authorities said the attacker was stopped before entering the facility, while officials warned the death toll could rise as several of the wounded remain in critical condition.
