33 Terrorists Killed in Counterterrorism Operations Across Balochistan: Pakistan Army

Islamabad (Terror Monitor) — Pakistani security forces have killed 33 suspected terrorists in a series of counterterrorism operations in Balochistan since September 21, according to Pakistan’s military.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the military’s media wing, said the latest operations were conducted in Shaban and Nushki districts as part of continuing intelligence-based counterterrorism operations across the province.

According to the ISPR statement, five more suspected terrorists were killed on September 24 during an operation in the Shaban area, where security forces were continuing an earlier clearance operation.

The military said the latest deaths brought the number of suspected terrorists killed during the Shaban operation to 22.

Security forces also destroyed several alleged terrorist hideouts and recovered weapons, ammunition and explosives from the sites, the ISPR said. Clearance operations were continuing in the area to eliminate any remaining threats.

11 killed in Nushki operation

In a separate intelligence-based operation conducted in Nushki district on September 25, security forces targeted what the military described as a terrorist hideout.

The ISPR said an exchange of fire followed the operation, resulting in the deaths of 11 suspected terrorists.

The military did not provide further details about the identities or affiliations of those killed, nor did it specify whether any security personnel were wounded or killed during the Nushki operation.

The reported casualties could not be independently verified.

Operations to continue

The Pakistani military said security forces and law-enforcement agencies would continue counterterrorism operations under the National Action Plan.

Balochistan has witnessed a series of attacks in recent years involving separatist and Islamist terrorist groups, including the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) and Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

Pakistani authorities have repeatedly said intelligence-based operations are aimed at dismantling terrorist networks, eliminating their hideouts and preventing attacks against civilians and security forces.

The latest operations come amid heightened security activity across Balochistan, where authorities have intensified counterterrorism efforts following a series of attacks targeting security personnel and civilians.
