Balochistan: Bomb Attack Kills 11 Pakistani Soldiers

ISLAMABAD (Terror Monitor) — Eleven Pakistani security personnel, including a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO), were killed in a bomb attack targeting a military convoy in the restive province of Balochistan.
According to information received by Terror Monitor, the banned Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) targeted a Pakistani military convoy with an improvised explosive device (IED) at the Wall Pat area along the RCD Highway in Lasbela district, killing 11 security personnel, including a JCO.
The Director General of the military's media wing, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, confirmed the deaths and said security forces killed 14 suspected militants in a retaliatory operation following the attack.
Over the past 36 hours, more than 40 security personnel have been killed in separate attacks carried out by the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) across Balochistan. The fatalities also include four civilians.
Meanwhile, Pakistani security forces say they have killed a total of 54 suspected militants in various counterterrorism operations conducted across the province during the same period.
