Iran Claims Strikes on U.S. Military Targets in Bahrain, Jordan and Kuwait

Tehran/Dubai (Terror Monitor) — Iran on Monday claimed that it targeted U.S. military facilities in Bahrain, Jordan and Kuwait, as six Middle Eastern countries have reported being targeted since Sunday, including Qatar, Oman and the United Arab Emirates.

According to Reuters, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said in a statement that it had destroyed a command-and-control center and drone hangar at a U.S. facility in Jordan, while also targeting a U.S. radar site and rocket launcher systems in Kuwait.

The IRGC also claimed that it attacked platforms in Oman supporting U.S. aircraft carriers and destroyed a fighter aircraft maintenance command center in Qatar.

Qatar said it would no longer play a mediation role and blamed Iran for the attack, saying falling debris had injured three people, including a child. Doha said Iran bears “full legal responsibility” for the incident.

The United Arab Emirates said on Sunday that it detected a missile threat originating outside its borders, while Bahrain said it had intercepted several Iranian aerial attacks.

Jordan reported missile attacks, while Oman said it had been targeted by drones.

Kuwait’s military later reported damage from the attacks, saying one worker was injured in a strike on oil facilities.

Oman said it summoned the Iranian ambassador in protest over drone attacks on two areas. The U.S. Embassy in Oman advised American citizens in Duqm and Musandam to seek shelter.

Meanwhile, Bahrain’s Interior Ministry said sirens were activated and urged residents to remain calm and move to the nearest safe locations.

Kuwait’s military said its air defense systems were confronting “enemy aerial attacks” inside Kuwaiti airspace. It added that explosions heard in the country were the result of air defense operations intercepting the attacks.

Iranian state media reported that fuel tanks and weapons depots at Jordan’s Prince Hassan Air Base caught fire following the attacks. The IRGC said the strike on the Jordanian facility was part of the first phase of its retaliation for U.S. attacks on Iranian coastal bases, warning that further operations were underway.

The IRGC also claimed that its aerospace forces targeted Bahrain’s Sheikh Isa Air Base, hitting a helicopter surveillance facility, a hangar housing a P-8 aircraft, and a U.S. drone command center.

Iranian state media further reported that the IRGC targeted two air bases in Kuwait. The claims have not been independently verified.

The developments come as retaliatory strikes between Iran and the United States continue to escalate across the region.

The IRGC said the operations targeted locations identified after monitoring what it described as “enemy movements” over the past 48 hours.

In a separate statement, the IRGC claimed its naval forces also targeted two vessels in the Strait of Hormuz, accusing them of disabling tracking systems, violating maritime regulations, and posing a threat to maritime security.
