PESHAWAR (Terror Monitor) — Three children were killed and seven others, including women and children, injured in a suspected drone strike in the Shinkot area of Khar tehsil in Pakistan’s northwestern Bajaur district.
According to sources, the strike targeted the house of Syed Wali Jan, leaving several members of the same family wounded. The injured were shifted to nearby medical facilities, where some are reported to be in critical condition.
Following the incident, tensions escalated in the area. Earlier, residents staged a protest in Phatak Chowk against alleged drone strikes and insecurity, blocking the Bajaur–Peshawar main highway for all traffic.
The blockade caused long queues of vehicles on both sides, leaving passengers stranded and facing severe difficulties.
Protesters demanded improved security, transparent investigations into the alleged drone strikes, and measures to ensure the protection of civilian lives and property.
Local administration and law enforcement authorities are monitoring the situation, while the highway remained closed at the time of the latest reports.
