Pakistan: Bannu Police Announces Rewards for 40 Wanted Militants

Peshawar (Terror Monitor) — Police in Pakistan’s northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province have announced multi-million rupee rewards for information leading to the arrest of 40 alleged militants wanted in connection with terrorism-related cases in Bannu district.
The Bannu Police released a list of the most wanted suspects, including their names, photographs, and the reward amounts set for their capture.
According to police, the suspects are wanted in cases involving bomb attacks, assaults on security forces, extortion, kidnapping for ransom, targeted killings, and other serious crimes.
Police said the highest reward of 10 million Pakistani rupees (one crore) has been announced for information leading to the arrest of Akhtar Mohammad alias Khalil.
Rewards of 8 million rupees each have been set for the arrest of Sadr Hayat alias Sufyan and Sadiqullah Gurbaz, while a reward of 7 million rupees has been announced for Nasirullah alias Gidar. The lowest reward listed is 500,000 rupees.
District Police Officer (DPO) Captain (Retd.) Furqan Bilal said a total reward of 158.5 million rupees (15.85 crore) has been allocated for the arrest of the 40 wanted suspects included in the initial list.
He added that the process of determining rewards for additional wanted militants is ongoing and further details will be shared with the public.
Bannu Police urged citizens to provide information about the whereabouts of the suspects and assured that the identities of informants would be kept completely confidential.
Police said individuals providing verified and actionable information would be paid the announced rewards.
