Pakistan: Three children killed, four injured in quadcopter strike in South Waziristan

PESHAWAR (Terror Monitor) — Three minor girls were killed and four others injured after a projectile was allegedly dropped from a quadcopter on a residential house in Nargasi (Soi Khel) area of Azam Warsak, Lower South Waziristan, in Pakistan’s northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Friday night.
According to police, the incident took place at the house of local resident Mohammad Gul alias Baagal, who belongs to the Dinar sub-branch of the Wazir tribe.
The explosion caused severe damage to the house, destroyed household belongings, and also killed eight goats, officials said.
The deceased have been identified as 15-year-old Meenka Bibi, 9-year-old Gulnaza Bibi, and 6-year-old Bushra Bibi.
The injured include Mazla Bibi, 13-year-old Khater, 4-year-old Najeeb, and 22-year-old Gul Zadin. They were shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital Wana for medical treatment.
Hospital authorities said all injured victims received immediate medical care and are now in stable condition.
Police and security officials have launched an investigation to determine the nature of the attack and identify those responsible.
