Palestine: Israeli Settlers Set Fire to Two Mosques, Vehicles in Occupied West Bank

Gaza (Terror Monitor) — Israeli settlers set fire to two mosques, several vehicles, and agricultural land in the occupied West Bank, Palestinian officials said, amid rising tensions following recent deadly clashes between Palestinians and Israeli settlers.

The attacks came two days after violence near the village of Tal left four Palestinians and two Israelis dead. Both sides have accused each other of provoking the confrontation.

According to Palestinian authorities, settlers raided two villages overnight, vandalizing property, stealing belongings, damaging vehicles, and spray-painting hate slogans on buildings.

Abdel Azim Wadi, the mayor of Qasra, said settlers set fire to a mosque that was under construction and spray-painted the word "revenge" and other hateful graffiti on its walls.

The Israeli military said troops were deployed to Qasra and that police had opened an investigation while collecting evidence from the scene.

Palestinian officials also reported that settlers set fire to another mosque in the nearby town of Qusra (Kor, according to local reports) and painted inflammatory slogans on its walls.

Palestinian sources said several settler attacks have been reported across villages in the West Bank since Friday's clashes in Tal.

Meanwhile, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said they had detained dozens of Palestinians during operations across the West Bank, describing the raids as part of ongoing counterterrorism activities.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered what his office described as a "strong and effective response" following the Tal incident, including the possible demolition of the homes of two Palestinians allegedly involved in the attack.
