Syria Arrests Senior ISIS Commander in Security Operation

Damascus (Terror Monitor) — Syrian security authorities have arrested a senior leader of the Islamic State (ISIS) during an operation in the country.
According to the Syrian state news agency, a source in the General Intelligence Directorate confirmed the arrest, saying that a senior ISIS commander had been detained. However, authorities have not disclosed the identity of the arrested leader or provided further details about the operation.
Earlier, Syrian security forces also arrested a nine-member ISIS cell during an operation last Sunday in Khan Arnabeh in Quneitra province.
