U.S. Urges Americans to Prepare to Leave the Middle East Amid Escalating Tensions

Baghdad (Terror Monitor) — The U.S. Embassy in Baghdad and the U.S. Consulate in Erbil have issued a security alert advising American citizens in the Middle East to consider leaving the region or be prepared for a possible emergency evacuation as regional tensions continue to escalate.

In a statement, the U.S. Embassy said the security situation across the Middle East remains volatile and unpredictable, warning that conditions could deteriorate without notice.

The alert comes as U.S. media reported that the United States and Israel are considering possible strikes on Iran's energy infrastructure, while Tehran has accused Washington of escalating tensions in the region.

The embassy urged U.S. citizens to exercise extreme caution and prepare for possible flight cancellations, temporary airspace closures, and other travel disruptions.

According to the statement, several airlines have delayed plans to resume flights, while others have suspended services on selected routes.

U.S. officials advised American citizens to closely monitor developments and be ready to depart the Middle East or evacuate quickly if the security situation worsens further.
