Gaza: Israeli Airstrike Kills Two Palestinians, Including Three-Year-Old Child

Gaza (Terror Monitor) — An Israeli airstrike in Gaza on Sunday killed two Palestinians, including a three-year-old child, and wounded several others, according to Palestinian medical officials.
The strike was carried out near a bakery in Deir al-Balah, according to medical authorities. The victims were identified as Hussam Nasser and three-year-old Taim Hamdan.
The Israeli military confirmed the strike, saying it targeted a Hamas militant. The military alleged that Nasser had been involved in planning attacks against Israeli forces and civilians. Hamas did not immediately respond to the allegation.
Large-scale fighting in Gaza largely halted following a U.S.-backed ceasefire reached in October 2025. However, Israeli airstrikes have continued. Israel says such operations are aimed at preventing potential attacks by Hamas and other armed groups.
Hamas, meanwhile, accuses Israel of violating the ceasefire, saying continued Israeli attacks are also undermining U.S. President Donald Trump’s broader plan to end the Gaza conflict.
The plan includes a further Israeli military withdrawal from Gaza and the disarmament of Hamas, but major disagreements between the two sides over these issues remain unresolved.
According to Gaza medical authorities, more than 1,300 Palestinians have been killed since the ceasefire took effect in October 2025.
The Israeli military says four Israeli soldiers have been killed during the same period.
