TEHRAN (Terror Monitor) — Iran's judiciary announced that two men, Omid Behzad and Pouria Safvat, were executed early Monday after being convicted of spying for Israel.
According to Mizan News Agency, which is affiliated with Iran's judiciary, the two men were accused of providing Israel's intelligence agency, Mossad, and its operatives with the locations, photographs, and information related to Iranian military and security facilities through covert communication channels.
Human rights organizations, activists, and lawyers have repeatedly expressed concern over Iran's use of the death penalty.
