ISLAMABAD (Terror Monitor) — Pakistan’s military has confirmed that Afghan Taliban-operated drones entering its airspace were shot down by its air defence systems.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), on 30 June the Afghan Taliban sent four low-intensity drones across the border into Balochistan, which were detected in time and neutralised by Pakistan’s air defence systems.
In a statement, the ISPR alleged that the drones were part of a broader pattern of support and facilitation for militant groups operating from Taliban-controlled areas.
The military said all four drones were successfully intercepted and destroyed through swift defensive action.
The ISPR further warned that continued aggression from the Afghan Taliban would be met with a strong response, adding that Pakistan’s armed forces remain fully alert and capable of defending every inch of the country’s borders.
The statement also said that any cross-border provocation would receive an immediate, decisive response under Operation “Ghazb-ul-Haq.”
