Trump Considers Major New Military Action Against Iran, Warns of Larger Strikes Ahead

Washington (Terror Monitor) — U.S. President Donald Trump has said he is seriously considering launching another major military campaign against Iran, including strikes that could be significantly larger than those carried out during “Operation Epic Fury.”

In a brief interview with U.S. news outlet Axios, Trump said he is reviewing the possibility of a “major attack” against Iran, but no final decision has been made.

He said any potential military action would have consequences and that the decision was being considered carefully.

Two U.S. officials also confirmed that no decision has been made so far regarding new military operations against Iran, and the U.S. military has not received any new orders for such action.

Trump claimed that Israel could immediately join any future operation if it chooses, but said the United States does not need another country’s involvement to launch military action against Iran. He also suggested that Iranian retaliation could follow if Israel participates in any new strikes.

Trump said Iran wants negotiations but is not yet ready for a deal. He claimed Iranian leaders had rejected recent diplomatic proposals and said they “have not been hurt enough yet.”

Meanwhile, tensions have increased in the Red Sea after Iran-backed Houthi rebels targeted Saudi vessels, raising concerns over another critical route for global oil shipments.

Trump warned on his Truth Social platform that if the Houthis attack ships in the Red Sea again, the United States would hold Iran responsible.

He said the Houthis are backed by Iran and warned that both Iran and the Houthi group could face a severe military response if further attacks occur.
