YAMAN (Terror Monitor) — Yemen's Houthi movement has threatened to target Saudi airports and other strategic installations after claiming that its forces encountered "Saudi fighter jets" allegedly attempting to prevent an Iranian passenger aircraft from landing at Sanaa International Airport.
Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree warned that if Saudi Arabia continued what he described as "violations of Yemeni airspace," the group would target "Saudi airports and vital Saudi interests on land and at sea."
Houthi-affiliated Al Masirah TV reported that an Iranian aircraft arrived in Sanaa on Friday to transport an official Houthi delegation to Tehran to attend the funeral ceremonies of Iran's former leader, Ali Khamenei. According to the report, the aircraft was also carrying more than 200 patients.
On Saturday morning, the Saudi-led coalition warned that any attempt to target Saudi Arabia would be met with a "decisive response" and "unprecedented force."
